Built From Trust. Opened Through Purpose.
Open Door Performance was built from the relationships, trust, and moments that shaped my career and ultimately changed my life. Through years of working in Division I athletics, I have had the opportunity to walk with people through some of their hardest seasons. Injuries, setbacks, uncertainty, and the pressure of trying to return stronger than before. What stayed with me most was never just the physical recovery; it was the trust people placed in me during those moments.
Over time, I realized that trust doesn’t end when a season is over or a collegiate career comes to an end. Many of the athletes and humans I worked with still wanted support, guidance, and someone they built trust in to be in their corner as they stepped into the next chapter of their sport or life. That realization became my own open door and the opportunity to create something that allows me to continue serving people beyond the traditional setting and build care around the relationships that already meant so much to me.
Open Door Performance was created to be more than just rehab or recovery. It’s a space where the people and athletes feel seen, supported, and prepared for whatever comes next. Whether working with elite athletes, former athletes, or active individuals simply wanting to move and feel better, my goal is to help people not only prepare for opportunities, but stay ready once they step into them.
What started as an open door for me became a way to help others step into theirs. When you have people in your corner that you trust, along with care specifically built for you, you can walk confidently through whatever door opens next for you.

The only reason there's light leading you in the direction you're going is because it's still spilling from the place you just came from and it will in ways for the rest of time. In fact, it will only get brighter. Because doors will keep opening and opening and it's very important that when they do you walk through them every time.”-Josie Balka
